As we wait for the re-emergence of the X5 M after the 2014 model makeover and the X6 to undergo a similar redesign, we can still rely on the sportier of the two M branded SUVs, the BMW X6 M for sale, for just a tad bit longer. From what we have seen in the SUV, we suspect the redesign will bring some nice changes to the 6. The 2016 BMW X6 M is the crossover sedan carried into another generation. Its re-sculpted exterior features expanded front air vents and signature quad tailpipes. The 4.4-liter twin turbocharged V8 has been tuned to produce 12 more horses, bringing the power output to 567 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. Mated to this powerhouse will be the new eight-speed Steptronic semi-automatic transmission. The M launches from 0-60 mph in four seconds flat. An exclusive option includes a head-up display that shows gear selection, rpm and shift indicators. It’s the perfect blend of Bavarian comfort and performance with the vantage points of a crossover.

A six-speed automatic offers full manual control via the sequential shifter or paddles behind the wheel.
