1966 Ford F-100 Custom Pickup - This absolutely stunning 1966 Ford F-100 Custom Pickup is the ultimate restomod. It was restored to high show quality standards and is loaded with modern features. It’s powered by a Ford F-150 Lighting SVT 5.4L Supercharged V8 and 4R100 automatic transmission. As the original VIN and Warranty tag indicate this example was built in Dallas, TX as a white 1966 Ford F-100 Regular Cab 4x2 SWB Pickup that was equipped with a 6-cyl engine and 4-speed manual transmission. It was shipped to the Phoenix, AZ DSO where it spent its entire life. It was purchased in 2014 by a gentleman named Steven Benner who lives in Boring, OR. The pickup was in solid original condition and the perfect candidate for a restoration. Steven’s vision was to create the finest 1966 F-100 on planet earth and he acted as general contractor on the build. Steven completed the restoration in 2022 which is documented with receipts and photos that are included. The exterior of this 1966 F-100 is jaw-dropping with its factory sporty design and choice of beautiful colors. The body was blasted, primed and countless hours were spent making sure all the panels were laser-straight. All of the body gaps are very precise including the doors which were shaved and trimmed for excellent fitment. Approximately 150 hours were spent fabricating the custom lightweight hood which replicates the original body lines while accommodating the height of the supercharger. The body trim, emblems, and antenna hole were smoothed for a clean appearance. The rear bumper was removed and a roll pan was fabricated to the body for a unique look. The body was painted in Porsche Gray Black which looks gorgeous on this truck. Steven invested over $40,000 in bodywork and paint which is documented in receipts. The paint is ocean-deep and was recently detailed to show quality shine. The front windshield, vent glass, door glass, and rear glass were replaced new and then ceramic coated with a slight tint. The windshield wiper arms, dual mirrors, parking light bezels, headlight bezels, grill, front bumper, door handles, and tail light bezels were finished in powder coated in “Kromezone”. Some of the custom features include LED Halo headlights, LED tail lights, and an Ecomaster Pro PCAM-101 infrared license plate camera. It rolls on Rocket Racing Attack titanium machined forged 20 x 8.5 wheels. The wheels are wrapped with Nitto NT55 G2 tires that are 245-40-20 on the front and 255-45-20 on the rear. The rear bed inner side panels, rare tailgate, and inner wheel wells were also re-finished in Porsche Gray Black. The Smokey Road Rod Shop Honey Oak aluminum floor wood drop-in wood bed kit with stainless steel strips. This has been laser cut and the wood is digitally printed. A kit was professionally installed to accommodate the custom gas filler in the rear of the bed. The one-of-a-kind interior of this 1966 F-100 is tastefully done throughout. It’s loaded with many modern conveniences. It was designed and completed by Russ’z Auto Upholstery. The tan leather with perforated leather inserts and stainless steel pieces covers the headliner, sun visors, steering wheel, kick panels, door panels, center console, bench seat, and custom box behind the seat. The dash was painted the same color as the exterior which looks sharp. The dash was outfitted with a machine-turned dash insert, carbon fiber gauge bezel, and a full set of six Autometer Ford Masterpiece gauges. The dash also houses the Gen II Compact Vintage Air Conditioning and Heating knobs, custom vents, and a fully functional glove box. The painted Ididit tilt steering column is connected to a Lecarra polished steering wheel. The doors are equipped with armrests, chrome door handles, and power windows that operate with stock-type window cranks. The extremely comfortable bench seat has modern seat belts for safety. The center console has a Kenwood Excelon DMX-706s receiver, rear camera, interior lights, and side-mounted tweeters. The sound system consists of a Rockford Fosgate 300 watt 4 channel R2-300x4 amplifier, Rockford Fosgate 200-watt RMS 400-watt peak 2 ohm R/2 R2S-1x10 10” subwoofer, and Infinity by Harman Primus PR6512-IS 165 watt 6.5” kick panel speakers. Some other custom features include Lizard Skin sound deadener, plush tan carpeting, and a Lokar emergency brake cable kit. The custom box behind the seat houses the computer, amplifier, and subwoofer with all the electrical wiring neatly wrapped for an ultra-organized look. The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout with many custom parts. The firewall, inner fenders, and radiator support were painted body color. The backside of the hood was painted in black textured material for durability. The hood hinges and the hood latch were powder coated in “Kromezone” to match the exterior appointments. It’s equipped with a new Painless wiring harness. The heart of this 1966 F-100 is a 2000 Ford Lightening F150 SVT 5.4L engine that runs beautifully. Everything on the motor was completely gone through and the supercharger was sent to Colorado for rebuild and porting. The engine is mated to a Ron Francis wiring harness and Ron Francis reprogrammed the SVT 5.4L computer system. It’s equipped with a water-liquid-to-air intercooled heat exchanger radiator (type 118) for the supercharger that can handle higher horsepower. Under the hood you’ll also notice the polished aluminum firewall bulkheads for the Gen II Vintage Air system, Vintage Air Super Flow aluminum horizontal condenser, 22” stainless-steel steering shaft, stainless steel universal steering joints, and aluminum remote style power steering reservoir. The engine breathes through a custom 2.5” dual exhaust system with Flowmaster Super Hp-2 stainless mufflers. A set of Roush exhaust tips exit both sides in front of the rear tires. The engine is cooled by a heavy-duty polished Aluminum Performance Fit 4-core radiator with dual electric fans. The engine is coupled to a professionally rebuilt 4R100 that shifts smoothly. Some of the transmission parts include a heavy-duty torque converter, E4OD rebuilt kit, F8 front pump, Transgo HD kit, cast iron front plate, and B&M automatic transmission deep oil pan. It’s equipped with a custom heavy-duty 53” driveshaft that was built by Driveline Services. The power is transferred to a narrowed Ford 9” POSI rear end with Dutchman a 31-spline axle that was built by American Hot Rod. The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout with many custom parts. The underside was painted in a black textured paint for durability. It’s equipped with an Industrial Chassis fabricated front end and cross member that was professionally installed by Duffy Motorsports. This setup is based on a 1987-1996 Dodge Dakota. Other chassis upgrades include a Mustang II rack and pinion power steering system, AQ1 Pro adjustable coil over front suspension, and Heidts 4-link rear suspension with billet springs. It’s equipped with power four-wheel disc brakes with Mustang Cobra hydro-boost system. The front calipers and drilled rotors are from CARiD. The rear calipers drilled and slotted rotors are from Baer. It was outfitted with a new 1970 Ford Mustang fuel tank with a Hyperfuel EFI pump system.
